줄기세포 치료제 붐이 일던 시절, 나는 알앤엘바이오(RNL Bio)의 비전에 끌렸다.
“인체의 재생 능력을 과학으로 되살리겠다”는 그들의 목표는 당시 바이오산업의 미래처럼 보였다.
하지만 기대와는 달리, 회사는 회계 문제와 경영 불투명성으로 결국 상장폐지의 길을 걸었다.
After the initial excitement around stem cell technology, I invested in RNL Bio, a company that once symbolized hope for regenerative medicine. Yet, due to accounting irregularities and management issues, the firm was eventually delisted from KOSDAQ.
그 후 회사는 완전히 사라지지 않았다.
사명을 ‘알바이오(AL Bio)’로 바꾸고, 줄기세포 치료제 연구를 계속 이어가고 있다.
내 증권계좌에도 여전히 ‘알바이오’라는 이름으로 주식이 남아 있다.
물론 상장주식은 아니기에 거래는 불가능하지만,
그 주식은 나에게 단순한 투자 종목이 아니라, 기대와 교훈의 상징으로 남아 있다.
Even after the delisting, the company did not vanish.
It changed its name to “AL Bio” and continues to pursue stem cell research.
In my brokerage account, the stock still appears under that name—though it’s untradeable now.
To me, it’s more than an investment; it’s a reminder of both ambition and lessons learned.
이 경험을 통해 나는 기업의 가치는 기술력만이 아니라
투명성과 신뢰에서 비롯된다는 것을 절실히 느꼈다.
줄기세포는 여전히 인류의 미래를 바꿀 기술이지만,
그 길이 윤리적이고 투명할 때만 진정한 혁신이 가능하다고 생각한다.

내 계좌 속의 ‘알바이오’는 이제 숫자가 아니라

상장폐지 주식은 잊히기 쉽지만,
